#019: Voting Doesn’t Effect Daily Life? 2020 Proved Otherwise.

Vote. Everyone has heard it endlessly during this election season. Many Americans will never miss voting in one election in their entire life. Many others will never vote one time. With many states closing registration in the next week ahead, this is my plea for an unregistered voter to sign-up, which only takes 2-3 minutes at vote.gov. But also to someone who is registered to vote, but might “forget” to vote or feel too lazy to fill out the ballot and mail it back…

I have always been politically active and voted in every election since turning 18. But I never had a strong response to people who felt that voting had no direct impact on their day-to-day life. Historically, that's been mostly true since policy moves slowly. But 2020 has proven to the entire country that isn't the case. Trump's mismanagement of the pandemic has led to major cities to remain in differing forms of lockdown for 6 months+, with no clear end in sight. Fires rage on the West Coast, destroying communities and making it difficult to breathe or enjoy time outside. Floods are plaguing the Gulf Coast from more frequent and larger hurricanes. And we have political unrest in our streets due to long-standing police brutality and racial inequality.
DONALD TRUMP HAS DONE NOTHING AND WILL DO NOTHING TO SOLVE THESE PROBLEMS.
JOE BIDEN WILL DO EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO ADDRESS THESE ISSUES HEAD-ON, WILL BE
TRUTHFUL IN THE PROCESS & WILL ALWAYS DO WHAT IS BEST FOR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE
Everyone knows it already, but I will say it once more -- VOTE. Not only because it's your civic duty, but because it will allow for you and your family to live a better life in 2021 and beyond.
